Abstract (EN)

In this study, pumice aggregate is coated with polyester, granulometry on these aggregates, specific gravity, loose unit weight and water absorption tests were performed on the coated aggregates. In addition, 400 and 500 doses of lightweight concrete samples were produced with polyester uncoated pumice aggregate and coated pumice aggregates. Unit weight, compressive strength, tensile strength at splitting, water absorption, ultrasonic pulse velocity and accelerated sulfate tests were performed on the light concrete samples produced. In this study, concrete compressive strengths increased in all 400-dose series of NCP and PCP concrete samples for 2, 7 and 28 days, In 500-dose samples, an increase was observed in 2 and 7-day samples, while a decrease in compressive strength was observed in 28-day samples. It was found that Water absorption value decreased in all batches of PCP samples compared to NCP samples, splitting tensile strength increased in PCP series compared to NCP series and all concrete samples were classified as "good" concrete according to ultrasonic pulse velocity. In the accelerated sulfate (Na2SO4 and MgSO4) test showed that PCP samples performed better than NCP samples. As a result of the study; It was concluded that pumice aggregate was polyester coated and water absorption was reduced and a new aggregate and high carrier special light concrete could be produced.
