Abstract (EN)

Towards the end of the 20th century, critical movements against the rigid and prescriptive institutions of modernism started in the world. These movements were called 'post-modern', conceptualised and theorised. Therefore, the spatial planes that contain societies have been subjected to restructuring processes within the framework of production-consumption relations, have become differentiated, fragmented and the meanings they express have multiplied. Tourism places have also been affected by these changes, have become more 'post-modern' in appearance, and have started to come to the fore with 'themes'. This study will try to make sense of the processes of the emergence and formation of post-modern tourism places within the scope of production-consumption relations and sociality through the elements within the places. For this purpose, three tourism places located within the borders of Antalya province were determined and the traces of post-modernism were searched in these places. The research sites are "The Land of Legends, Digiverse and Sandland". Qualitative research method was chosen as the method of this study. Therefore, interviews were conducted with 30 participants, observations and document analyses were made. The data obtained here were divided into themes and analysed in this way. As a result of the analyses, it is understood that the tourism places researched are heavily equipped with post-modern elements; The Land of Legends creates a multi-layered spatial structure with its eclectic architectural structure and different cultural themes, Digiverse's digitised display methods provide an interactive experience, and Sandland's 'simulacrum' elements within the space enable the heterogeneity of the space and cultural integrations. On the other hand, it has been reached that these spaces may cause social exclusion and the negative effects of restructuring on local spaces.
