Abstract (EN)

The primary objective of this research is to explore the predictive roles of hope and perceived social support on career decision making self-efficacy of undergraduates. 788 undergraduates are administered using Personal Information Form, Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Scale (CDSMES), Dispositional Hope Scale (DHS), and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Correlational research method is used in order to examine the relationship among study variables and demographic variables. One-way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation and Multidimensional Regression analyses are carried out within the aim of answering the research questions. According to the results, the predictive role of hope and perceived social support on CDMSE is found. Significant differences are found between the level of CDMSE of undergraduates and school types, department, the educational level of the father, and the SES. However, no significant differences are found between the level of career decision making self-efficacy of undergraduates and gender, class, and educational level of mother. Limitations and the findings of the present study are discussed with regard to related literature; and theoretical implications and applications of the findings and suggestions for future research are presented.
