Abstract (EN)

Tick bites are painless and non-itchy, they are difficult to detect and owe this to proteins in saliva. When nutrition begins, enzymes that prevent pain and coagulation in a certain area in the tissue release molecules that bind to and neutralize histamine to block the immune system. During blood absorption, they produce enzymes including immunomodulatory molecules, wound healing inhibitors, analgesic factors, anti-hemostatic and anti-inflammatory factors to evade host defense. Since primary cells originate directly from the tissue, they are the best culture cells to be used for representative purposes. In this master's thesis study, the Hyalomma aegyptium tick, that is, the turtle as a host only, was used for reasons such as tortoise shell powder for yang deficiency in the kidney in ancient Chinese sources, turtle brain for the treatment of cataract in Ancient Egyptian medical information, and the use of turtle blood in cases such as headache and paralysis in the Ottoman Empire. salivary gland of this tick species that prefers; AF/NP and cartilage cells, which are primary cell types that can represent the tissue, were studied. With MTT analysis, AO/PI staining, AF/NP and cartilage cells, cell viability, cell proliferation and wound repair effects of the tick salivary gland were examined and evaluated.
