Abstract (EN)

This thesis aims to focus on the diversity of the Turkish language in the Balkans, particularly by examining the word groups in the Prizren dialect. Prizren is a significant city in Kosovo and one of the focal points of Turkish culture and language in the Balkans. This study is based on the compilations in the book titled "Prizren Turkish Dialect and Culture," co-authored by Ergin Jable and Kaan Yılmaz, aiming to understand the linguistic and cultural characteristics of the Prizren dialect. The purpose of this thesis is to thoroughly examine the word groups in the Prizren dialect to reveal its linguistic structure and cultural significance. The first chapter of the study emphasizes the importance of examining this dialect to understand its linguistic and cultural context. The second chapter provides a general introduction to Kosovo and Prizren. The third chapter examines the general characteristics of Anatolian and Rumelian dialects. The fourth chapter focuses on the definition and types of word groups. The fifth chapter delves into a detailed examination of the word groups commonly used in the Prizren dialect.
