Abstract (EN)

One of the important Neo-Platonist philosopher Proclos, wrote a study of eighteen arguments that the world is eternal. In this work he interprets problems such as the relationship between creator and cosmos, the terms eternity, perpetuity and time and their relationship with the cosmos, issues such as genesis and phthora, soul, problems of philosophy and especially of Neo-Platonic philosophy. This study consists of five chapters and aims to examine the views of Proclus according his eighteen arguments which he bases the eternity of the world. Besides, this study aims to examine the emergence of this issue in Plato and Aristotle in the first and second chapters, its course in Plotinus in third chapter and its appearance after Proclus in classical Islamic thought in fourth chapter. However after the examination of Proclus' argument this study aims to discuss an example of the idea of ensuring the harmony between Aristotle and Plato, which is attributed to Neo-Platonism, over the issue of the temporality of the world.
