Abstract (EN)
II ABSTRACT PhD Thesis RHAMNOLIPID PRODUCTION BY PSEUDOPMONAS AERUGINOSA AND PSEUDOMONAS PUTtDA MICROORGANISM USING FROM INDUSTRIAL WASTES Mustafa KAHYAO?LU Fırat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Biology 2005, Page : 71 Some bacteria, yeast and fungi are able to produce biosurfactants. Biosurfactants are surface active compunds capable of reducing surface and interfacial tension at the interfaces between liquids, solids and gases. Pseudomonas aeruginosa produces and secretes rhamnose containg glicolipid biosurfactants called rhamnolipid. They are useful in remediation of insoluble organic pollutions in soil and marine environmentals. There are also a large number of industrial uses such as enviromental technology, agriculture, food, pharmaceutical, cosnetic and oil industrial. Sugar beet molasses and silempe and cheeses whey, which were from industrial waste. Mollases, silempe and cheeses whey are one of the major pollutants by agricultural industry our country. This study was to biosurfactant as rhamnolipid production by Pseudomonas aeruginosa DSM 50071 and Pseudomonas putida from mollasses, silempe and cheeses whey. It was seen that amount of rhamnolipids biosurfactants are 0,78 grit in mollasses and 0,48 gr/lt in cheeses whey substrate. COD of mollasses and cheeses whey was reduced by % 35- 45 in 90 hour. In the analysis of High performance liquid chromatography in mollasses and cheeses whey medium mono-di rhamnolipid have been observed. As a result beside these waste substrate other waste substrate may give similar rhamnolipid production. It will be a good subject to study on that for future research. Key Words : Biosurfactans, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas putida, Rhamnolipid
