Searches for alternative in the restructuring of the welfare state: The effect of social capital approach as a social force

In this thesis, values such as social trust, norm, reciprocity arising from interactions within the community, which are indicators of social capital; in which practices such as inclusion in social networks, social tolerance, civic and political participation, and the extent to which individuals' perceptions of welfare state responsibility will vary in terms of regions, within the scope of the neighborhoods of Ankara province Çankaya and Mamak districts, informal social safety nets are examined in terms of local social capital components. It is aimed to evaluate the existence of its benefit in overcoming the problems encountered on the level. The outcomes reveal that there were differences in terms of district, level of education and level of income, especially based on the trust parameter, and this had a significant effect on social capital, as well as the social capital structure of the residents of the two districts showed variability in terms of different indicators.
