Abstract (EN)
Humanbeings who adopted a sedentary life began to make baked pots and pans.In time they had worked on these cups to have a polish and smooth surface and made perfectly polished, engobecups which blocked water permeability of the ceramics.After wards ceramicmasters who were continuously in search with humanbeings curiosity and esthetical sensation, began to colourize the slip and paint the surfaces of the ceramic forms with colored slips by stenciling them.Pottery masters in a continuous search with human curiosity and sense of aesthetics started later to color the slips and drawing patterns on ceramic forms and paint them with color slips.Ceramic forms have been in a wide range from those to protect food and drinks, to ceremonial beverage containers, burial containers and oil lamps are used for lighting as well as meeting the needs of everyday life.This thesis makes the definition, history of colored slips and experimental studies of slips prepared from local clay.?ngilizce Anahtar Kelimeler:1-Slip2-ColoredSlips3-LocalClay4-LocalSlips5-Clay
