Reşad Ekrem Koçu's systematically analysis of İstanbul Ansiklopedisi (Encyclopedia of İstanbul) from the point of folklore about water

Reşad Ekrem Koçu analyzed the Turkish history and literature of Turkish by his view folkloristic standpoint with his investigative personality and put his signature under important works. No doubt, Koçu's the most important work is İstanbul Ansiklopedisi (Encyclopedia of İstanbul). This work which presents important information about science and art, has the characteristics of source and also it is the first book which has the characteristics of city encyclopedia in Turkey. İstanbul is come up its social life, its history, geography and in many ways as articled. Reşad Ekrem Koçu presents us important information about not only İstanbul Ansiklopedisi (Encyclopedia of İstanbul) but also İstanbul's folklore.
