Abstract (EN)
In this research, the existence of the relationship between the teaching activities for the development of visual memory in the education of the art of painting and visual perception has been aimed. For this purpose, the relationship between the art of painting and visual perception, visual memory and the teaching activities performed in the art of painting and the problems that put forward the quality of the curriculum have been analyzed.In this descriptive research, screening method was used. The research group consists of the curriculum applied in the institutions of fine arts and the universities which perform these programs. The sample group consists of the curricula performed in Gazi University, Dokuz Eylul University, and Marmara University Education Faculties Departments of Fine Arts the Art of Painting branches. The art of painting program of the Fine Arts Education of Supreme Court of Education was taken as a reference.In this research, during the description of the concepts, identification of the topic, and the explanation of the curriculum, a great deal of benefit was provided from Turkish and foreign published materials, libraries, YOK documents, and internet search.The study consists of five parts. The theoretical framework was identified in the second part of the study. The theoretical framework itself also consists of three parts.In the first part: Perception and the concept of perception, the relationship of perception and learning.In the second part: Memory and the concept of memory, the relationship of memory and teaching.In the third part: Art and the concept of visual art, the relationship of visual art and education has been examined.At the end of the research, it has been found out that, in order to acquire the behaviors that describe the special skills like visual perception and visual memory, the preparation of ideal education conditions in the departments of the art of painting institutions which are aesthetically designed, rich in materials, ready for the purpose of the lesson, and the re-identification of the curriculum, contents are necessary. Moreover, in addition to the activities in the current system applied in the training lessons for the development of visual perception and memory, the application of the curriculum which indicates the importance of seeing and hearing to the students and the implementing of educational activities have been stated beneficial.
