Abstract (EN)

This work carries the traces of Rıfat İlgaz' s difficult life and his endless writing desire. With his wide cultural knowledge, Rıfat Ugaz has left a lot of works on various aspectes of literature from novels, stories to theatre and articles. The curiousity of reading and writing in his childhood leads him to write mare. While he uses his knowledge in his farmer writings, we recognize his troubles and ideals in his later writings. His works suddenly turn from individual to social. He is sometimes banned and sometimes rewarded. Although he wants to be known as a poet, we have known him with his famous novel "Hababam Sinıfı". The outher talks abaut the education problems of the age in his work which he writes in the period when he suspend his poetry. While writing, he both explains and satirizes, also he makes the reader lough. His aim is to display the problems of education system. This work has prepared in to four parts and the first part includes Rıfat İlgaz' s life. In this work, his life is analysed into to main parts, one of which is abaut is formal life and the other one is abaut literary life. This part gives us detailed information abaut his life. The second part includes the works of Rıfat Dgaz. There are some short parts of each works in order to explain his literature aspect easily. Third part is abaut his art. İn this part the reader can find some information abaut his works and how to write them. Fourth part is on his famous novel "Hababam Sınıfı". It is analysed in every aspects for example. The important characters of the back, it's authers reasons for writing this novel and the events that cause to be written.
