Abstract (EN)
The rapid advancements in the field of artificial intelligence and the widespread use of AI-powered robots have raised numerous complex legal issues. This phenomenon has caught the attention of scholars from various disciplines such as law of persons, liability law, legal philosophy, and criminal law. The notable parallels between AI-powered robots and slaves (termed "res" in Roman law), are quite remarkable. Despite lacking legal personhood, both slaves and robots possess the potential to engage in legal transactions and cause harm to third parties through their actions. This thesis seeks to shed light on how Roman law can contribute to the personality of artificial intelligence and the potentials harms it may cause.
