Abstract (EN)

Human being, who is specially created among all beings, has many characteristics that can be investigated emotionally, psychologically, mentally, physically and socially. Being a social being, human being has been trying to recognize himself/herself and searching for the meaning of life throughout his/her life. Human being is a being known for its structure equipped with desires that give meaning to human life such as belonging, trust, being understood, being valued, loving and being loved. All these are factors that affect human beings throughout their lives. Human beings are either peaceful, happy and have a strong will to overcome difficulties, or they are restless, unhappy, frustrated, tired and unable to cope with the difficulties of life. In this context, he/she flounders in various psychological problems such as stress and depression and may drift into loneliness even in crowds. It is possible to associate the strong psychology, strong social relations, self-confidence and high self-confidence of a person whose needs are met in infancy with love and affection. Education is undoubtedly one of the most important factors shaping human life. In this context, the life adventure that starts in an educated, responsible and conscious family can be qualified to a great extent. Society needs educated individuals for the protection of healthy generations and family structure. From today's perspective, attributing the individual's introversion, poor social relations, inability to empathies, feeling lonely and experiencing psychological problems only to the developing technology, excessive stimuli around or reducing it to a problem developed by individualization may reflect that the problem is not viewed from a broad perspective. This study was conducted by focusing on the problem of loneliness, which is universal today, with a holistic approach in Sabahattin Ali's Kürk Mantolu Madonna and Philip Roth's The Human Stain, on the basis of "Loneliness in the Process of Individualization" focusing on the protagonists of the works, and examining all dimensions of the problem within the theoretical framework related to the subject area, in the light of psychoanalysis, text analysis and discourse analysis.
