Abstract (EN)

The effects of Taurine, a semi-essential amino acid, on the growth parameters, feed conversion ratios and aquaculture economy of the Shibbot fish (Tor grypus) juveniles were investigated in this study. For this purpose, the fry in which taurine was added at the rate of 0.00% (without taurine), 0.5%, 1.0% and 1.5% were growth in fiber tanks for 60 days. In the experiment, commercial carp feed with 32% crude protein was used, feeding was done by hand and the fish were fed to satiation. Live weight gain (WG), feed intake (FI), Feed conversion rate (FCR), Specific growth rate (SGR), Survival rate (SR), Economic conversion rate (ECR) and Its effects on the economic profit index (EPI) were investigated. At the end of the study, Shibot juveniles with an initial weight of 2.28 ±0.01 g reached 3.11 ± 0.16 g, 3.05 ± 0.17 g, 3.25 ± 0.11 g, and 3.14 ± 0.26 g respectively. It has been observed that the addition of taurine at the rate of 1% has a positive effect on FCR value in breeding of Shibbot fish and other trails have reached similar and higher FCR values. Considering the contribution of taurine in terms of aquaculture economy, it was also determined that the 1% taurine added allows production at a lower cost (5.36 USD / kg). It has been observed that adding taurine to Shibot fish feeds does not contribute to EPI value in terms of economic profit index.
