Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted with 44 male and 66 female healthcare professionals working in a private hospital between September 2023 and April 2024, in order to examine the relationship between healthcare professionals' eating awareness and e-healthy nutrition literacy levels and nutrition-related parameters. A face-to-face survey form was prepared for the employees and included general information, health-related information, general eating habits, lifestyle information, social media use, anthropometric measurements (body weight (kg), height (cm), waist circumference (cm)), Eating Awareness. Scale (YFÖ-30) and e-Healthy Nutrition Literacy Scale (e-SBO) were applied. The average age of all individuals is 33.6±9.46 years, and the average BMI of men is 27.5±3.60 and women is 23.0±3.97. When the individuals' average eating awareness score was examined, it was determined that men had 3.2±0.43 points and women had 3.4±0.47 points. There is no significant difference between the eating awareness score averages according to gender (p>0.05). It was determined that the average e-healthy nutrition literacy score of individuals was 39.7±7.16 for men and 39.9±7.46 for women. As a result of the study, no statistically significant relationship was found between individuals' eating awareness level and e-healthy nutrition literacy level (p>0.05). The study found that in the relationship between eating awareness and anthropometric measurements, as the level of eating awareness increases in men, the waist/height ratio decreases (r=-0.327, p<0.05); It was determined that as the level of eating awareness increased in women, body weight (r=-0.300, p<0.05), waist/height ratio (r=-0.376, p<0.05) and BMI value decreased (r=-0.258, p<0.05). No statistically significant relationship was found between individuals' e-healthy nutrition literacy level and anthropometric measurements (p>0.05).In its relationship with nutritional parameters, it has been shown that as the level of eating awareness increases in men, the percentage of total fat increases (r=0.340, p<0.05), the percentage of TDFA increases (r=0.464, p<0.05) and the percentage of carbohydrates decreases (r=-0.374, p<0.05). It was observed that as the e-Health Nutrition Literacy level increased in men, the percentage of carbohydrates increased (r=0.301, p<0.05). There is no significant relationship between the level of eating awareness and e-Health nutrition literacy in women and their daily energy, micro and macro nutrient intakes (p>0.05). There is no significant relationship between the level of eating awareness and e-Health nutrition literacy in women and their daily energy, micro and macro nutrient intakes (p>0.05). As a result, it was concluded that individuals' eating awareness levels and e-healthy nutrition literacy levels may have an effect on body weight (kg), waist/height ratio and BMI, as well as energy and macronutrients.
