Abstract (EN)
The health expenditures required for economic growth and development vary according to the level of development of the countries. Countries with high economic development also have a high level of health and education. While economic growth and development and the health and economic level of the society are increasing, people with these qualities constitute an important input for economic development. Therefore, this course of studies examining the effects of the economic growth of health spending in Turkey, is important to understand the issues. The state is obliged to ensure that everyone can live in physical and mental health and receive medical care. Health care; all activities carried out in order to ensure that the persons or the community are in good physical, mental and social terms. Increasing the average level of life and decreasing the mortality rate are necessary for social development and economic growth. In this respect, health expenditures should be made with due diligence and care in social state practices; improve health outcomes and increase the quality of human capital. From the production factors, human power is an important element that brings economic success to today's societies and thus necessitates economic investment. For this reason, the link between human health and economy has gained importance. Thus, the health expenditures made to achieve labor productivity are considered as an investment, and the health expenditures are expected to be transformed into the investments that need to be done without bringing the economic burden. In this study year of 2012-2017 health spending their impact on economic growth in Turkey it was examined. One of the most important factors contributing to the development of human capital, which is an important effect on economic growth, is health; Because the inadequacy of human health will prevent the quality of education which is the main source of human capital. Human resources for economic growth; contributes to economic growth by increasing education and health expenditures according to the quality of an individual's population. Another issue that needs to be addressed in order to understand the causality relationship between health spending and economic growth is health spending. Health expenditures are considered as the most important development indicators of the countries. The share of health expenditures in the GNP also increases according to the level of development of the countries. The researcher has shown that there is a double-sided causality between the health sector and economic growth in the short and long term period.
