Proposal for a system for health care surgical supplies

To ensure production of services in the hospital enterprise, multiple different types of materials are to be used besides human resources and machinery. Materials costs used in direct and indirect for patient treatment is also very much. Hospitals who have to work seamlessly with the requirement of activity, amount of services to prevent disruption of the production process of various pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and other support materials required to have in stock at any time. It causes higher costs for materials in service production used in hospitals. To minimize these costs, hospitals are trying to develop inventory control systems. In this study focused on inventory costs in which one of the systems developed for this purpose will be paid less and Material Requirement Planning system are studied to determine the size of the party. Aimed to minimize the costs of holding stocks in sizes to determine the most appropriate party.This study was carried out at a university hospital in the province of Izmir. First, the hospital's inventory records were examined over a period of certain costs paid for, have been calculated. In Material Requirement Planning System, the most commonly used the Lot Sizing Methods were determined. After analyzing the current situation of the hospital costs, to minimize the costs that hospital paid for, the designated Lot Sizing Methods were applied for the said period.As a result of analysis of current situation, the inventory costs paid by the hospital were high and the methods applied to determine the Lot Sizing Methods will provide the optimum benefit from the application of the method that works in the hospital indicated. The difference between hospital?s current situation and the situation after used the methods of inventory planning solutions are presented.In the hospital enterprise, ensuring the materials required for the production of the desired service, in desired location, time, quality and continutity is very important. While performing these activities, to make costs paid by hospital enterprises for the optimum, it is possible with an active material management system.
