A field study regarding the use of emotional intelligence during the decision making of the managers of healt care institutions

In today's research, the concept of emotional intelligence is seen in the areas where the most study and research is done. It is considered as an important gain that people have emotional intelligence in their relations with their environment and can use the emotional intelligence effectively. People with high emotional intelligence are self-recognizable, aware of their needs, aware of their strengths and weaknesses, and are able to make healthier decisions. Instead of taking into account only the logic in their decision-making situations, they benefit from their emotional knowledge based on their past experiences and motives in order to make the right decisions. At the same time, they have the ability of empathy within the framework of relationships with other people and use this skill in the decision-making process.For this reason, managers who know their own emotions and can control them, understand what other people feel, are expected to receive positive support from their emotional abilities when they need to make decisions in both their business and private lives. This situation shows the importance of health sector managers as in all sectors. In this respect, Turkey administrators at all levels involved in the health sector, all of their emotional intelligence level, what kind of on the decision-making styles they use when deciding on the management process is the main purpose of an impact study thesis that they have. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the decision-making styles and the emotional intelligence levels of health care managers in the decision-making process of the health care institutions.
