Abstract (EN)

It is thought that this study can contribute to the establishment of occupational health and safety culture by showing the effect of occupational health and safety education on awareness of occupational health and safety. The aim of the research is to ensure that education on occupational health and safety creates awareness on this issue. The dependent variable of the research is the awareness of occupational health and safety. The independent variables are; socio-demographic variables such as gender, grade average, maternal education status, father's educational status, and job accident status. In the first part of the work, the topic of occupational health and safety is explained with a general view. In the second part, legal regulations related to occupational health and safety are mentioned. In the third chapter, health and safety in health care enterprises, and in the fourth chapter health and safety health education. The schools in Istanbul have been designated as "all-in-ones" and have reached 50% of the total number of schools and 438 students have been included in the study. Analyzes of the study were made with the help of SPSS package program. The analysis included item analysis, item total score correlation, Kaiser-Meyer-olkin test, Barlett's test, factor analysis, frequency, ratio, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, median, t test, one way ANOVA test and Pearson correlation analysis test. It was determined that the students who participated in the survey had high awareness of occupational health and safety. There is a positive positive relationship between the subscales of the occupational health and safety awareness scale.
