Abstract (EN)

Continuous improvements are being observed in the field of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) both in Turkey and worldwide. When evaluated specifically for Turkey, significant reductions in fatal occupational accidents are evident compared to previous years, thanks to implemented legal regulations and ongoing efforts. Within this framework, hospitals hold greater significance for OHS practices compared to other sectors due to their large workforce and inherently high-risk potential. Effectively conducted OHS activities in hospitals play a direct role in reducing workplace accidents and preventing fatalities. The aim of this study is to conduct an applied risk analysis at a private hospital operating in the Çerkezköy district of Tekirdağ, Turkey. Due to the institution's request, the name of the hospital has been kept confidential. Within the scope of the study, all potential risks that could lead to occupational accidents or even fatalities for staff throughout the hospital were systematically identified. These risks were evaluated based on their severity levels, and the preventive and corrective measures developed in response were analyzed in detail.
