Abstract (EN)

The sacroiliac joint (SJJ) is a synovial joint located between the pelvis and spine, playing a vital role in mechanical load transfer, posture control and dynamic stability. This joint maintains biomechanical integrity by ensuring a balanced distribution of body weight to the lower extremities during activities such as walking, running and static stance. However, factors such as trauma, repetitive microdamages, pregnancy, obesity or inflammatory processes can lead to functional or structural disorders defined as sacroiliac joint dysfunction (SJJD). SJJD is often associated with chronic low back pain, postural instability and secondary compensations in the musculoskeletal system in the clinic. Minimal deviations in the body center of gravity (CGM) can pave the way for pathologies such as spinal curvatures, pelvic rotation and joint degeneration in the long term. Therefore, early diagnosis of SJJD and prevention of VAM deteriorations are important for the protection of individual quality of life and public health. The main purpose of this study is to address the relationship between SIED and VAM from a multidisciplinary perspective and to demonstrate the effectiveness of a non-invasive method such as the Double Balance Test (DBT) in early diagnosis.
