Opinions of orientalists on the influence of Samici languages on Arabic dialts

Language is the tool that enables people and societies to communicate with each other. Each nation has its own language and various dialects of that language. People and societies communicate with each other for various reasons. When societies with different cultures come into contact with each other, they are influenced by each other. Societies of the Semitic race are related and lived in geographies close to each other in the past as they do today. The interaction between the Semitic tribes was reflected in their languages and their dialects. To put it more clearly, the political, commercial and cultural contacts between the Semitic communities enabled them and their languages to influence each other. The Semitic languages influenced the dialects of the Arabic language, which has an important position in this language family, in various ways. The Semitic inscriptions, which reveal the influence of Semitic languages on Arabic dialects, have been an important source for researchers in this regard. The scholars of Eastern societies and cultures have played an important role in the discovery of the Semitic scriptures and in understanding the ways in which Semitic languages influenced Arabic dialects. This study aims to examine the views of orientalists on the influence of Semitic languages on Arabic dialects. For this purpose, a literature review was conducted and qualitative research and comparative linguistics methods were used in the study. As a result of the research, it is seen that Semûd, Safavid, Lıhyânî, Nemâre, Zebed, Harrân and Umm al-Jimâl Kitābahs show that Semitic languages influenced Arabic dialects, and that orientalists attach importance to these Kitābahs and conduct serious research on them. Undersecretaries made expeditions to the regions where these inscriptions were found in order to find and study them, and they took some of the inscriptions back to their own countries and donated them to museums
