Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to uncover the existing situation by studying picture books suitable for early childhood in terms of supporting art knowledge and aesthetic perception. The survey was used to conduct this qualitative research study. The research sample consists of 152 books. The criterion sampling method was used to choose these books. The researcher devised the Illustrated Children's Books Review Form that Supports Art Knowledge and Aesthetic Perception for the book analysis. Content analysis was used to analyze the data collected. As a result, it has been determined that the physical features of the books are suitable, the visual expression features have improved in the books published in recent years, and the information content about art is included in more and more books. In terms of creativity, it has been determined that the fiction of the books published recently is more creative and has designs that turn into a game tool. It has been determined that there are no expressions that are not suitable for the child in the books, and that the principle of according to the child is observed in the selection of sentence structure, words and expression form. However, it has been determined that there are not enough and interesting art, artist, artwork information notes for the artist in question in the books, and that this information is important. As a result of these findings, not ignoring the artist information notes, publishing the books in which different arts/artists are introduced, including the reading information of foreign artists and works of art in the books, designing books suitable for multiple learning, and reading aloud intervention research with children through books that support art knowledge and aesthetic perception possible are suggested.
