Importance of pattern lesson in fine arts high schools in art education, problems encountered in this process and achievements

It is observed that individuals want to have a place in society and to make their living standards livable in social and economic terms with their high school education. At this point where they need to choose a profession where they can express themselves and be happy, high school education comes across as an important step. Fine Arts High Schools aim to be a good guide for students who want to go to universities that require special talent, administration and teachers while they are preparing for higher education program. For this reason, a basis should be created to meet these needs of students so that they feel ready for the next process, university, as a result of the education they receive from the Fine Arts High Schools, which they voluntarily come after passing an exam in line with their abilities. Studenrs who think that they cannot do the drawing and imaginary studies required from them in the exams held by the faculty, where knowledge and skills are measured, try to complete these deficiencies with special courses. The aim of this study is to emphasize the importance of Fine Arts High School for students who receive art education within the framework of contemporary approaches and to investigate the adequacy of pattern education. Within the scope of the research, a survey was conducted by reaching 400 students in the 11th and 12th grades of Fine Arts High Schools in eight different provinces (Osmaniye, Hatay, Adana, Mersin, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Batman, Van) in the 2021-2022 academic year. The results of the survey were evaluated by making analyzes with the help of SPSS 24 program.
