Abstract (EN)
The liquefaction phenomena that occur in soils, after 1964 Niigata and Alaska earthquake, 1995 Kobe earthquake in the world with 1998 Ceyhan and 1999 Marmara earthquake in our country, got great importance. The damages that occured after these earthquakes is considered as the reason of liquefactions that occur in soils. The aim of this study is to examine the liquefaction potential of Saruhanlı town which located in the Turkey. For zoning plan. In the investigated area, liquefaction maps was examinated using the Conic Penetration Test (CPT) results, liquefaction were plotted according to liquefaction intensity index. According to the results the liquefaction may occur on fine-grained alluvium in the settlement areas of Saruhanlı town, especially regions that close to surface and explained some measures will be taken.
