Impact of supply chain performance measured by SCOR model on business performance

Businesses are striving in the competitive environment that have increased with the globalization. Therefore they have built an effective supply chain network in order to gain from the relationships among businesses while developing in terms of organizational structure and technology. With the increase in competition, it is not possible for businesses to achieve success alone in an environment where the whole world is a common market. Therefore, businesses have started to compete with other businesses by being part of a supply chain. Due to the complex structure of the supply chain, accurate measurement techniques are the determinant of chain success. Applying these measurements to each business determines the life of the collaboration and indirectly affects the life of the business. Measuring supply chain performance is an important issue for businesses in terms of sustainability in competitive environment. This study examines the effect of supply chain performance on business performance. In this context, "SCOR Model" level 1 metrics are applied to determine the impact of supply chain performance on business performance. In order to measure the business performance, a five-dimensional business performance scale survey is used. Data, collected from randomly selected 50 businesses, is analyzed using multiple regression. Analysis shows that s supply chain reliability significantly and positively affects all but financial performance of a business, supply chain asset management dimension has a significant positive effect only on financial performance, while suplly chain agility has a significant and positive effect on social performance. Supply chain profitability has a significant negative impact on financial performance, social performance, organizational performance and general business performance, while supply chain responsiveness and supply chain cost have no significant impact on any business performance.
