Abstract (EN)
Twenty healthy women aged between 26-45 who do not do active sports and who do not mind doing sports voluntarily participated in this study. The functional training plan, which will be applied for 6 weeks, was explained in detail to the individuals participating in the study and information about the study was given. Body weight, body mass index, body muscle and fat measurement, body circumference measurements, perceived difficulty level scale (borg scale) were measured as the first test and post test, and the measurements were recorded instantly. SPSS 26 software programs were used in the analysis of the data obtained from the study. Significant difference was tested at the 0.05 level. The distribution of the data was analyzed with the Shapiro-Wilk test of normality. Paired sample t-test was used to compare normally distributed dependent groups. When the circumference measurements of the participants were examined, a statistically significant difference was found in the arm and chest circumference pre- and post-test measurements (P<0.05). However, there was no statistically significant difference between hip circumference pre-test and post-test values. When the results of the body analysis of the participants before and after the exercise applied in the study were examined, a significant difference was found (P>0.05). In addition, a statistically significant difference was found in all parameters in the borg scale, in which the degree of difficulty perceived by the participants was evaluated (P<0.05). Based on all these results, it can be said that functional training applied to sedentary female individuals has a positive effect on anthropometric and physical training and increases physiological adaptation to training.
