Abstract (EN)

The starting point of this study is to have an idea to find solutions for contributing to the protection of the passengers in the bus by means of making constructive developments within the body structure. In the literature review, studies and standarts related to the subject in other developed countries have been examined. For the buses, the UNECE R66 (United Nations Economic Commition for Europe Regulation 66) regulation, which is accepted by the European Union and is binding for our country, is taken as basis to protect the residual space in the rollover accidents. The main goal of the work is to reach constructive solutions for cost, weight and production optimizations, ensuring safety conditions within the body. After the requirements of the legal regulation and the calculation steps are determined, the effects of different reinforcement studies, material and section changes applied to the superstructure structural members are examined.
