Abstract (EN)
Heat stress develops in the plants and animals which grow indoors and in hot climate conditions As a result of this, economic losses emerge. Recently, evaporative cooling systems with pads have widely been used in order to prevent such a condition. Among such conditions, the most common of these are cellulose-based one. In this study, the relationship between the amount of evaporated water and the rate of saturation level of air passing through the pad depending on the air speed in cellulose-based pad were determined. In the experiments, the speed of air passing through a scrub pad have been selected in three different values as 0.5 m / s, 1.0 m / s and 1.5 m / s. As for pad the soaking water flow rate, 4 L / min-m was kept constant in accordance with the contractor's recommendation. In July, according to the results of the experiment completed in triplicate showed that depending on the rate of passage of air through a scrub pad unit surface area due to the increase per unit time increased and the amount of heated water increased, air saturation level decreased. However, while the saturation level was expected as at least 1.5 m / s, air velocity was 0.5 m / s. The reason why this happened was that the flow of air passing through the pad is the same as characters of air flow.
