Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to measure the anaerobic power of Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestlers competing at the national team level (elite) with different anaerobic test methods such as Vertical Leap, AST30, RAST and Margaria Kalamen tests, to determine the physiological responses of wrestlers of different styles and to compare the differences between the two styles. A survey model was used, in which participants were measured indirectly and directly. The research group of our study consisted of 64 volunteer athletes, 32 of whom were freestyle wrestlers and 32 were Greco-Roman style wrestlers from Antalya Kepez municipal sports club wrestling team. The average age (X̄ = 18.629 ± 0.921 years), average height (X̄ = 173.629 ± 5.855 cm), and weight averages (X̄ = 75.086 ± 6.108 cm) of 64 wrestlers in the Greco-Roman and freestyle participating in the study were found. When the one-way analysis of variance of the average power data of the RAST, AST30, Margarıa Kalamen and Vertical Jump tests applied to the participants to examine the difference in anaerobic power between all athletes, it was observed that there was a significant difference. If we summarize the results of our research; It was observed that the RAST test values applied to the participants struggling in both styles decreased with the increase in weight, and also increased with the increase in weight in AST30, Margaria Kalamen and Vertical Jump test data. When the anaerobic test data of the participants in the Greco-Roman and freestyle fight, in general, were compared, it was observed that the wrestlers who competed in the freestyle had higher anaerobic power levels than the Greco-Roman style wrestlers. It can be thought that the results of our study differ from the current literature, the test measurement methods used in the literature are different from the measurement methods used in our study, or the groups included in the study differ in terms of experience, age and weight. In order for the results of our study and the data in the literature to gain accuracy and certainty, the application of all comprehensive and decisive measurement methods to the athletes competing in all weight groups of wrestlers competing in free and Greco-Roman style, a more reliable way for all the studies that will be done after us and related to our topic, and also the difference in the literature. It is important in terms of clarification of the researches.
