Problems and expectations of certified public accountant professional members in their professional activities: Gaziantep application

For companies that form the basis of the country's economy to work efficiently and effectively, there must be an effective and properly functioning accounting system. Professionals who carry out the accounting system play an important role in the correct and effective functioning of the accounting systems. Certified Public Accountant profession is a profession that acts as a bridge between the taxpayer and the state. Members of the Certified Public Accountant profession encounter many problems in their professional activities, and this situation harms the functioning of the country's economy. Our study aims to determine the problems experienced by independent accountant financial advisors, who are registered active members of Gaziantep SMMMO, which provides the most accounting services to businesses in the province of Gaziantep, to observe the expectations based on the problems and to offer solutions that the relevant institutions and organizations can benefit from. In line with this purpose, a research has been conducted on accounting professionals with the application of a questionnaire, and the opinions of the Certified Public Accountants registered to Gaziantep SMMMO on their problems, expectations and job satisfaction have been tried to be determined. It is aimed to reach professionals registered in Gaziantep chamber. 321 responses from professionals received 321 surveys. The survey results were analyzed in the light of theoretical information with the SPSS 24.00 program. Our study is important because it is the first study on the problems and expectations of the Certified Public Accountants in Gaziantep.
