The music of Sergei Prokofi̇ev and no.2 op.94 d majorviolin-piano sonata

Sergei Prokofiev is an important composer and pianist lived in the 19th - 20th century. Although political events such as the October Revolution, the Second World War and the establishment of the Soviet Union have taken place, he has brought many works to the violin repertoire. Composer's no: 2 op.84 Violin-Piano Sonata was first written for flute and then adapted to violin-piano with the special request of violin virtuoso David Oistrakh. It was first performed by David Oistrakh. In this study, violin-piano sonatas and other violin sonatas, which gave a name to other violin works, were compared with the works of form examination, life of composer, musical style, influences of experiences on style, art movements and periodicals. Although the work is performed in our country, it is interpreted more frequently in European countries and United States of America. Technically demanding mastery, his works have been recognized as an important work with musical adulthood, and his work have been placed in the violin repertoire. The aim of this thesis is to shed light to the ones who wants to understand the composer, his music, to understand his music in terms of form.
