Abstract (EN)

It is thought that betatrophin/ANGPTL8, which the liver and fat cells manufacture,is active in the metabolism of lipids. Insulin resistance may serve as a catalyst, as shown by the data. T2DM patients had higher levels of betateophin in their blood, which we examined in connection to a number of metabolic markers and assessed its use as a diagnostic tool in this population of patients. The betatrophin concentration was measured using an ELISA kit. The diagnostic value of betatrophin levels in T2DM was evaluated using Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) Curve Analysis.It was also evaluated in 89 subjects: 19 non-diabetic and 70 T2D of genders. The difference in betatrophin levels between non-diabetic (25.19±9.15 ng/mL) and T2D (poorly control diabetic patients) was (26.67± 14.98 ng/mL). This) patients is substantial (p< 0.001). correlation between serum betatrophin with BMI was found no statistically significant (P ≤ 0.05) after correlation analysis. However, FBG, TG, were strongly associated with betatrophin in T2D. In T2DM patients, betatrophin levels seem to be much greater than in healthy controls, according to our results. Betatrophin levels may also be linked to glucose and fat levels, according to the findings of this pilot investigation. Also, our research shows that betatrophin could be a useful T2DM diagnostic biomarker
