Difficulties encountered by bağlama players during recording in sound recording studios and solution suggestions

This study aims to determine the difficulties encountered by baglama performers during the studio recording process, to improve the quality of baglama recordings, to define the negative conditions related to the recording environment, to determine the equipment suitable for the structure and dimensions of the baglama, to prevent problems that may arise by taking the opinions of tonmeister and baglama performers, and to reduce the loss of time. These opinions are thought to be important in determining solutions to problems such as the structure of the baglama, the disadvantages of the recording environment and the anxiety problems experienced by the performers during studio recording. In this context, the study is important in terms of being useful for baglama performers, students in the field of music technologies and people who are interested in this subject. It is thought that baglama, one of the most basic instruments of Turkish music, will expand its usage area thanks to more efficient and trouble-free recordings. In this study, which was conducted with the data obtained from expert opinions using semi-structured interview questions, the difficulties experienced by baglama performers were analyzed in detail and suggestions were presented considering various conditions. It is thought that these suggestions can be evaluated in a wider framework in similar studies to be conducted in the future and can contribute to research in this field.
