The concept of voice mask and its place in the performative dimension of experimental music

This study will focus on the comprehensive research and definition of the concept of "voice mask" and its interaction with experimental music, jazz music, its subgenres and contemporary performative arts. In the following sections of the study, the scope of sociological approaches that deal with the meaning, symbolism and social functions of masks with a traditional perspective and method will be expanded, and the concept of mask will be examined within a framework that is considered as identity symbols and indicators with a semiotic perspective. In this context, the concept of mask and voice mask as a masking tool will be discussed in terms of its effects on the process of identity construction. In terms of the relationship between consumption society and reproduction, the distinguishable performances and styles of the artists, who have become idols and icons in the collective subconscious with their unique musical identity, will be evaluated in relation to the concept of voice mask as a metaphor.
