Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted in order to determine the yield and yield components of some sesame cultivars under Siirt second crop conditions in the Agricultural Faculty experimental site of Siirt University 13 registered sesame cultivars were used as materials. Trial was established as a completely randomized block design with four replications. Planting was done manually after the harvest of previous crop wheat. In study; the properties such as plant height, number of branches per plant, height of first branch, number of capsules per plant, number of grains per capsule, 1000 seed weight, seed yield, oil ratio, oil yield and protein ratio were investigated. As a result; 10 of the 13 varieties used as a material could not provide adaptation to the Siirt ecological conditions, and they could not sustain their vitality after stage of 6-7 leaves. The plant heights of other three varieties (Arslanbey, Hatipoğlu and Boydak) were obtained between 61,3 – 97,6 cm, number of branches per plant 2,7-6,9, height of first branch 2,9-9,9 cm, number of capsules per plant 50,2-128,1, number of grains per capsule 53,5-72, 1000 seed weight 2,7-3,3 g, seed yield 59,6-116,1 kg/da, oil ratio % 45,24-50,67, oil yield 27,2-56,2 kg/da and protein ratio % 22,1-24,0. While the lowest seed yield was obtained from variety of Hatipoğlu with 59,6 kg/da, the highest seed yield from variety of Arslanbey with 116,1 kg/da.
