The role of United Nations in the protection of human rights in the post armed conflict and internal disorder situations

In the first chapter of the study, firstly, all types of violence that affects a community badly were dicussed. Then, the post conflict eras which usually come right after the violence periods and are named as post conflict situations are evaluated. Especially, reconstructions in post conflict communities are examined. Second chapter begins with the general situation of the human rights in post conflict situations. After that, secondly, the role of the United Nations in the context of the protection of human rights is discussed. Finally, in the last chapter, because it is a very current development in the world, the Colombia were elected as a case study and the post conflict situation in this country is evaluated in the aforementioned content of the study.
