Abstract (EN)

In this study, the resistance levels of Tetranychus urticae populations collected from five different strawberry fields in Silifke (İçel), the most important strawberry production area of Turkey, against spiromesifen, etoxazole, abamectin and tebufenpyrad were determined by bioassay and biochemical methods. According to LC50 values of susceptible and field populations, the resistance ratios changed between 4.615-9.739, 6.805-15.396, 2.396-7.862 and 5.511-12.470 fold for spiromesifen, etoxazole, abamectin and tebufenpyrad, respectively. Esterases and glutathione S-transferases (GST) levels of different T. urticae populations were determined by using the kinetic enzyme assay. The esterases and the GSTs levels of field populations were found between 7.728-10.698 and 5.929-7.565 mOD/min/mg protein, respectively. While, the level of these two enzymes were found to be 3.839 and 5.496 mOD/min/mg for protein susceptible population, respectively. As conclusion, the esterase and GST enzymes may play an important role in detoxyfication of these four acaricides for different T. urticae populations collected from five strawberry fields in Silifke, Turkey.
