Mechanization related inputs and their costs in open-field strawbery production in Silifke region

It is known that the production area and total amount of strawbery production are regulary increasing in recent years. Due to this fact, input use and detailed cost evaluation is considerably important for both production planning and productivity inquiry. In this study, production costs, especially focused on mechanization related, in strawbery production are determined by a questionnaire in Silifke region.According to the results, total annual cost per unit production was calculated as 2964 TL/da. The labour cost had the grand share in the total as 1155 TL/da-year. The total mechanization related cost was 285 TL/da-year with a share of %26,3 in total. The total revenue/total cost ratio was calculated as 1,82 based on the average yield of 4 500 kg/da. Finally, the net profit was found as 2436 TL/da-yıl.
