Investigation of the use of silicon carbide in the cooling systems industry

In this study, the usage areas of silicon carbide material in cooling systems have been investigated. The only compound of silicon and carbon is silicon carbide (SiC). The material is wear-resistant and at the same time resistant to high temperatures. In summary, Silicon Carbide is a superior abrasive and ceramic material. Application areas of SiC; it is a ceramic material used in sandblasting injectors, automotive water pump seals, bearings, pump components, heat exchangers and silicon carbide with high hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. They are more used to work with low temperature wear rather than high temperature behavior.
