Abstract (EN)

Democracy, which is the most indispensable element of the political system, is achieved through participation. Today, the emergence of political parties, oppression and interest groups, non-governmental organizations, which are the means of joining the political system, is unfortunately not as old as politics. The introduction of political parties into human life and the fact that the concept of voting became more important than the wealthy by gaining importance became the most important factor in the transition from empires to nation states. The nations seeking to consolidate their ethnic ties through political ties have sought to fulfill these aspirations in the international associations established after the First and Second World Wars. Even though the island of Cyprus appears to be a Mediterranean island inhabited by two states and dominated by peace, the Greek part's admission to the European Union under the name of the Republic of Cyprus, thus embracing the entire island and showing the Turkish people living on the island as occupiers; Due to the lack of international recognition of the TRNC, the usurpation of its political, social and economic rights negatively affects the peace on the island. By declaring the republic in 1983, the Turkish people, who quickly formed state institutions, did not neglect the civil society organizations in order to defend their rights, and showed that they were pro-peace at the maximum level by always keeping democracy in the foreground.
