Assesing of defense mechanisms used by Schizophrenia patients

In this study, it has been intended to examine of typical schizophrenia defense mechanisms pursuant to aim of Regression to Mirror Stage, Forclusion the Name of Father and role of Symbolic Order that brought with Lacan'a psychos theory. The population of this study consist of 5 male schizophrenic patients who are member of Şizofreni Dostları Derneği (Friends of Schizophrenia Association). It has been applied Directional Psychoanalytic Pre-Interview and Rorschach Test to volunteers. Participant's responds for Rorschach Test's cards and their medical stories from the pre-interview has been evaluated together. According to results to Rorschach Test; patients answers have spaces, classification and naming difficulties, shredded bodies, evil desings, others who are not subject to law, persecuted responds, answers that does not separate who is not me-me and conspicuous language disorders; these answers became clear of the notions Mirros Stage and Forclusion the Name of Father on Lacan's theory about psychoses.
