Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this research is to examine primary school mathematics teachers' skills in solving and posing mathematical verbal problems that require realistic answers. This research was conducted with 200 primary school mathematics teachers selected by random sampling method, working in the official secondary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the provinces of Adana and Hatay in the academic year of 2022-2023. Problem solving test, problem solving questionnaire, problem posing test and problem posing questionnaire were used as data collection tools for the research. In order to examine the problem solving and posing skills of teachers that require realistic answers, data collection tools were applied to each teacher separately. The analysis of the data obtained from the data collection tool showed that the teachers were successful in their realistic problem solving and posing skills.
