Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to examine the academic studies conducted in Turkey regarding student misbehaviours in classroom management. In this context, content analysis was applied to the data obtained by document analysis technique in the research, which included studies conducted in Turkey between the years 2000-2021. In the studies examined in the research, it was seen that mainly quantitative data were collected and teachers were mostly preferred as participants. Studies mostly included between 101 and 300 participants. In the studies, it has been determined that the subject of student misbehaviours is mostly studied together with "coping methods". The most common student misbehaviours that are stated within the scope of the studies examined are; students' failure to take their responsibilities, communication disorders, individual characteristics, negative attitudes towards the lesson, behaviors that hinder the flow of the lesson and contradict the school/classroom rules. The most frequently used intervention methods by teachers were divided into sub-themes as reactive/mild/short-term and precautionary/remedial/long-term. The codes for the suggestions regarding the management of undesirable student behaviors are family/parent, teacher candidates and teachers, administrators, school/classroom environment, students, education programs - teaching process and activities, preventive and developmental approach to reactive approach, positive classroom climate and educational administration and environment sub-themes. As a result of the study, recommendations such as organizing guidance services and activities for parents, in-service training for teachers, strengthening the relations between school and society by school administrators by organizing activities that affect the environment, and reducing the number of classes in crowded classrooms were presented.
