Abstract (EN)
This study presents a three-dimensional analysis of contaminant transport in a three-layered soil structure. The analysis was conducted using Cartesian coordinates and the finite differences method. The dispersion and migration of contaminants originating from a pollution source were examined in environments where groundwater is stagnant or mobile. The change in contaminant concentrations was analyzed over specific time intervals (T) and a fixed duration for the pollutant source (tp = 10 years). The results of the analysis reveal how contaminant concentrations change over time and are influenced in terms of their locations. The findings underscore the variability of contaminant behavior across different soil layers and directions. It is anticipated that this study will contribute to the development of environmental protection strategies and groundwater pollution management.
