The Role of Primary Education Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge Lessons on the Establishment of Social Ethics Primary Education is a period that kids meet with school and join the social life more actively by leaving their family environment. If we consider that in this period kids become independent and start to create their own personality, we can say that in this period moral values is formed in the same way. If this period is planned well and is spent succeccfully in terms of moral development, the kid wiil probably be a better person in his/her ages ahead. Morals and the issue of social ethics, has been approached as a global problem. Studies on this field is increasing every passing day. Social ethics is the union of sense, thought, attitude and behaviour in a society. Fort he sake of maintaining of this union, every society carries on some works in order to bring forth awareness to its citizens about the values that the society has. Education is the most extensive and productive one of these works. In this context, moral education is provided by the lessons of Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge in Turkish education system. For this reason, in this study we determined that how the social ethic is framed in the curriculum of religious culture and moral knowledge and in textbooks. In this context, we examined the main structure of curriculum then evaluated content of the textbooks from different perspectives after we formed general terms and the basis of moral development. In this study, our goal is to reveal that the Primary Education Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge lesson is influential on the establishment of social ethics, and to determine the suitability contents and activities that is provided for the educational attainment for the level of development of students.
