Abstract (EN)
This research involves preparation, application as well as evaluation progress of a social skills training program in order to reduce social anxiety level of adolescents.This research was conducted with 34 high school students (17 experimental and 17 control group) in Dikili Çok Programlı Lise in İzmir. While % 76.4 of the experimental group consisted of female students, %23.6 of them consisted of male students. %52.9 of the experimental group consisted of 9th grade students, %11.7 of them consisted of 10th grade students, %29.4 of them consisted 11th grade students, %5.8 of them consisted of 12th grade students.`Social Anxiety Scale? , `Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale? and `Social Avoidance and Distress Scale? are used to determine social anxiety level of participants.Statistical analyses were conducted with Statistical Package for the Social Science ( Social Science Statistics Software 13.0)The results show that `Social Skills Training Program? is effective to reduce social anxiety level of adolescents.
