Abstract (EN)
The 6th grade social studies textbook of 2013 was evaluated in terms of pre-Islamic Turkish history education. In this study, academic resources on educational sciences and history teaching and scientific studies in this field were examined. Scientific studies about the student's level and visual materials used in the course book were scanned, and academic information on the subjects examined was collected. Textbooks have been analyzed by taking into account the issues determined by the Board of Education. The visuals and texts in the textbook were evaluated in terms of reflecting the outcomes and examined in terms of their suitability to teaching principles and methods.
