The problems encountered in teaching geography subjects in social studies and the teachers views about the analyzing suggestions

It is only possible that individuals can know the environment that they live, naturalsources that they benefit, aren?t limitless and one day these natural sources can beconsumed, moreover being aware of the difference between their own country andthe other countries, wandering the places without encountering any problems thatthey see first , with knowing enough Geography.This study aims to express that the problems of the teachers giving Social Studiesand analyzing suggestions in teaching Geography subjects.This study which was designed according to `searching model? was conducted in2005-2006 academic year, the centre of Eskisehir, 14 Primary Schools which arebind to the Ministry of National Education.The data in this study to emerge the teachers? views, was collected with thetechnique of interviewing that were semi- built from qualitative searching methods.It emerged that the social and economical situation of the students? parents effectediithe students? success directly. It was stated that Geography subjects should bedesigned acoording to The students? manner with evaluating Social Studiesprogramme in second degree in Primary Schools they should give more attention toGeography subjectsAccording to the datas obtained from the end of this study, it was expressed that thetechnique of trip- observation wasn?t used in our Primary Schools.
